Grand Oaks offers year round riding lessons. Our program offers quality lessons on well mannered school horses. Our students discover how to work with the horse on the ground as well as on its back. Riding is a life skill that teaches responsibility, communication, and teamwork.
Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis and riders can schedule multiple lessons per week. We offer daytime or evening lessons Tuesday though Friday, and on Saturday afternoons.
Most lessons are scheduled in one hour time slots. This includes time for grooming, tacking up, riding and untacking/cooling down.
Clothes & Equipment
Wear loose jeans or stretchy long pants, and flat soled shoes or boots, preferably with a heel.
Riders must wear an SEI-approved helmet at all times while riding. We recommend buying your own helmet because proper fit is important for safety but a well-fitting bike helmet will work to start.
Paperwork
Forms must be filled out before you can ride, there are copies at the barn, make sure to allow time to fill them out at your first visit.
We offer our two different billing options: Single Lessons or a 10-Pack
*Please note 10-Pack lessons must be used within 12 weeks of the purchase date.
